Double elimination

ARGH!

Two models left last night and I don't know how to feel about it.

I can understand Rachel leaving, she reminded me too much of a mixture of past models for me.

Courtney leaving however is something that a lot of us probably don't agree with. She looked a little more commercial than some of the others so I figured she wouldn't make it to the final 2, but I think we all thought she was going to make it far because she is quite pretty.

Okay so what's next Tyra? You've already kicked someone out, brought someone back then eliminated her, and had yourself a double-elimination. What can you possibly do next?

Season 13

The new season is finally here!

Too bad no one really jumps out as the front runner, although, "experts" are saying that the edits Jennifer receives make it look like Tyra's going to push for an Asian winner this year - which I believe would be a first for the ANTM franchise.

I do like the concept of the girls all being petite or below the standard 5'7" for models. I've met so many girls who have what it takes to be models but would never consider it because they know their height would work against them.

Although I won't be re-capping every episode because you can get that anywhere online, I will be highlighting the highs and lows of each episode. If the season premiere was any indication, it's going to be a wild roller coaster ride.

This week's elimination

"I looks like the majority of us feel as though Aminat’s time on ANTM has come to an end, while a few of you also seem to think Celia’s too old for this competition. Can’t wait to see who gets eliminated!"

Looks like almost everyone has their eye on Aminat to get the boot this week.

Those of us who picked someone else from the Top 5 could steal some spoiler points and really make since a sprint to the finish.

Episode 10 - Attitude or Lack of Talent?

Many of us choose Natalie to go home last week and when she wasn't eliminated, we put her on chopping block again for this week. Everyone's persistence paid off as Natalie was eliminated.

Although her photos may have been less than stellar, her snobby edit may have also been a contributing factor as we all know Tyra likes to breed humility in her proteges.

Sidenote: Celia is the oldest contestant in Cycle 12 but she's only 25 and people are starting to act as though she's post-menopausal. I've made this the topic of this week's poll. ----->

Episode 7 & 8 - Second times the charm

In Episode 7, Tahlia finally said goodbye to the ANTM family even though many of us had London on the chopping block. Tahlia's low self-esteem issues just couldn't be overcome.

Episode 8 was a redux as many of us chose London to go. Aminat and London found themselves in the bottom two with London going home.

London - I really didn't want to pick London (she's in my Top 5) but I didn't think I had much choice. I loved her first pictures but since then she's fallen flat in my opinion.

Episode 6 - Another one bites the dust

So it was Sandra who was eliminated last night. I don't think it was much of a surprise to anyone as seven of us chose her as Tyra's latest cast off. It also looks like a few people lost a Top 5 pick. (Brave Juli sacrificed a Top 5 pick to earn 75pts elimination points!)

What I'm more intrigued by is Celia's Bottom Two appearance. Was it punishment for last week's comments/behaviour or did she deserve to be there?

And kudos to Natalie for winning her second challenge - I will have to start putting her in the Poll.
